Carl Haering

Carl Haering is a recent graduate of BCIT's New Media and Web Development Program. Carl’s field of study includes video editing, visual effects, web design, illustration and Flash Actionscript 3 programming.

Carl has previously worked in the sales, travel and steel fabrication industries. As a sales representative, he learned the value of teamwork and persistence. In the travel industry he was able to meet many people and experience the diversity of the world. His experience has developed his customer service and teamwork skills.

Recently, he has volunteered his time with Delta Cable. He operates a professional Sony camera and assists in the development of community programming.

In order to be successful in the New Media Industry, Carl has spent time networking with industry leaders. He has worked with New Media BC in the membership department and has assisted at various industry functions. His experience at VidFest and the PopVox Awards has expanded his contacts in the digital industry. Carl decided to invest a full year upgrading his education at BCIT, and as a result, is prepared to meet the challenges and be successful in his new career field. Carl is continually developing his skills as technology changes in the New Media Industry.
